Munyaneza Henry

Munyaneza Henry is a Rwandan visual artist whose work transforms storytelling into powerful, emotional imagery. Trained at the Nyundo School of Art, he left graphic design to follow his true passion: creating figurative paintings that reflect identity, healing, and cultural memory.

Drawing inspiration from his own life and the unspoken questions of youth, his art explores themes like mental health, self-discovery, and African ancestry. With bold colours and expressive brushwork, Munyaneza’s paintings invite viewers to reflect, feel, and reconnect with their inner strength. His work is not just seen - it is felt.

He has exhibited widely, including solo shows such as In Your Grace, Kaje, and I Chose to Be BLACK at Neza-H Art Space in Kigali, as well as The Pages of Pain at Kigali Soul Creative Hub. Internationally, his work was part of the Peace and Humanity group exhibition at the University of Ibadan in Nigeria and the touring duo show FREEDOM in Geneva, Switzerland.

Munyaneza’s paintings are more than visuals - they are stories of resilience, purpose, and spirit.
