Alogi John

Adeyemi John Damilare, widely recognized as Alogi John, is a talented artist hailing from the vibrant city of Lagos, Nigeria. His artistic journey commenced at a tender age when his passion for art ignited a lifelong creative pursuit.

Following his elementary education, Alogi John took a significant step towards realizing his artistic aspirations by enrolling in an apprenticeship program at Talents Art Kingdom. Under the mentorship of his first master, Oyebola Olayinka Jacob OJ, he began honing his artistic skills and laying the foundation for his artistic future.

To further advance his career and formalize his art education, Alogi John pursued a degree in painting at the prestigious Yaba College of Technology in Lagos, Nigeria. This academic journey allowed him to delve deeper into the world of art, refining his techniques and expanding his artistic horizons.

Continuing his quest for artistic excellence, Alogi John embarked on an enriching internship at Olokun Studio. Under the guidance and mentorship of Saheed Adelakun, he gained invaluable insights and experiences that contributed to his growth as an artist.

Alogi John's artistic expressions serve as a profound reflection of his memories, inner emotions, personal history, and life experiences. His body of work is characterized by a prevalent sense of humor, which adds a distinctive and engaging dimension to his art.

His talents have earned him recognition in the Nigerian art scene, with his paintings featured in various group exhibitions. Notably, he participated in the "Life in My City" exhibition in 2018 and emerged as one of the ten finalists in a prestigious competition held in Lagos in 2019.

Today, Alogi John's artistic endeavors have found homes in several private art collections, a testament to the enduring appeal and significance of his creative contributions to the art world.
